Don’t be quick to judge the new CNT Stealth’s… I personally didn’t think this bat could be as good or better then the flex, but BOY OH BOY was I ever WRONG! With my first 30-40 swings I felt the new Stealth was over flexing at the handle and not flexing enough in the barrel. Then I swung it again, let a few of my fellow testers swing the bat, and we finished the break in… This was approx 200 swings with .44 375 comp balls, and 50 swings with .47 525 comp balls. I then re-tested this bat against some of the hottest bats in the industry, including the Ultra and the Mayhem M7 (My personal #1 bat for the new year). I noticed that once broken in the barrel flex was incredible, the sweet spot was gigantic, and the performance/distance was beyond that of even some of the 100mph rated bats. There aren’t many asa bats out there that are worth the $200-$400 that they sell for, but this bat is DEFINITELY worth every single penny of the $350 price tag.
The biggest difference from this years Stealth to last years flex besides the two piece construction, is the end-load. I was swinging a 28oz flex last year, and the new Stealth 28oz is much more end-loaded then last years bat. It felt absolutely INCREDIBLE… The added end-load helped to drive thru the ball better then any ASA bat out there. The level of end-load is not so heavy that you would have to re-learn the swing on the stealth, but it does take at least 15-20 swings to get used to it.
If your looking for an ASA bat that will perform like a 100mph USSSA bat, then search no further, the STEALTH is where its at.
Sweet Spot & Overall Feel - 18.5 of 20
Distance & Ball Flight - 18.5 of 20
Durability - 20 of 20
Swing Weight & Feel - 19 of 20
Overall Feel/Performance: COMBINED - 18.5 of 20
Score: 94.5 out of 100
