I'm SO glad we get to play them again :rolleyes: :D

Should be a good tourney with a lot of good matchups. The bottom part of the bracket is eerily similar to Pool C from the City Slam (4 of 6, after the play-in game) :(

Funny how that works isn't it. Don't blame me, I only vote on sanctioning, don't have any pull on the brackets, if I did Cincy Assault would be down there with you all. LMAO

LOL... the way its goin, i'm sure we'll see you guys (syndicate) in the first round of state, nationals, & worlds this year too! fourth tourney that we've both played in, three of the tournies we've faced each other in the first round/first game of tourney

that how it was with us and down n dirty last year. they knocked us out of state AND nationals. good games, don't get me wrong, but it'd be nice to play somebody we haven't played 3x already this year.

yeah rainout, syndicate and express were in winners bracket finals. express got paid berth and they split the money with syndicate. all other teams left got 100 bucks. good tourney

congrats on the berth, express. would have been nice to play a full 7 against ya in a game with a little less rain and a little less of an umpire who was effing horrible :)

big tymers/new gen...good to play against you guys again. always an exciting game. as well as merchants. game that could have went either way, we just happened to win that one this time. surprised the hell out of me and gave us a great game. hope your leadoff guy is okay. he is 110% hustle.

all i gotta say is the umpire took us out of the winners bracket.......

We had 2 BAD calls, check that, HORRIBLE calls that game that thwarted big innings. The one where he said Nate never touched the plate and the "out of the baseline because the fielder establishes the baseline."

Good tournament, too bad the rain came thru and washed it out.

Don't understand how the online standings have Syndicate 5th and us 7th.

i know the ump we had against syndicate was horrible and i sure syndicate will agree with me and i think this is the ump they had for the game against express to great tourney besides the rain and good luck to everyone rest year

Terry you know as well as i do that the call where for some reason he didnt see the force at second on the triple play, cost us the game when that happened it was a tie ball game...i still would like to stomp a mud hole in his ass. Nothing against HealthTrends congrats on the birth...just still a little pissed

From what I remember and I'd have to ck the book, he said the runner going to 3rd wasn't tagged which was the correct call because he didn't touch him I was coaching third at the time, even Paco said he missed him.

The only real problem I had with the umpiring was they didn't move from behind the plate. We had a call in our first game where Gator slid into first and the ump called him out and said he missed the base when he slid and popped up on the orange bag, he was standing behind the catcher, didn't even step outside that area to get an angle.

I would have to agree with that from what we saw. I can live with a bad call if an umpire hustles and gets into position but not when they are standing behind the plate on a play at 2B.

hey syndicate, You guys need to cut that guy that plays right, or cut is legs off, He is lighting, He made a crazy, i mean a crazy a s s play out there. Thats one of the best plays i seen in along time. That play change the game. But good luck, I'm sure we will see ya again.

We know and like you all but were trying and changed to stay out of the middle as much as possible. We were also missing our entire infield except Clevy who was playing out of position. Bottom line it was a good game with a couple bad calls due to lack of hustle but you have that.

Syndicate knows and likes most of us but that didn't stop them for jumping our a$$ for 6 right out the gate. Those b@stards. LMAO

Flat out the fastest kid I've seen. Apparently his knee is no longer bothering him. I'm just glad we changed it up and he was out there that game and not me.

Yeah. Guy hit a rocket over my head to RF. Grant took off on a dead sprint, back to the infield, running to the fence. Didn't look back once, didn't let up stride and ran it down, full over-the-head catch. Had the presence of mind to throw back to me, but the guy got back to avoid the double-up.

Hands down, the best catch I've ever seen in my 12 years of playing softball.

Grants catch was crazy... The kid is just flat out explosive. He was catching 2 weeks ago and climb the foul fence behind the plate to catch a foul ball at the top of the fence. This wasnt a foul ball that went way up in the air either.

I am dropping it, I didn't put that tag but going back thru previous threads, you guys weren't like this until Phil got accused by some idiot of using a shaved bat on here. It is really ok to truly lose a game, in a year's time, every softball team that plays more than league does it. As I stated, we had the same umpire and had two blown calls to what you consider your one. We didn't have one of our infielders in their normal position. Our only starter on the infield was Clevy and we had to move him to 3B.

As an umpire, from that angle should he have guessed on the tag? No, if you don't see it you don't make a call. Would most umpires make it anyway? Probably about half. He really didn't tag Nate so there was no triple play. You don't give it to someone just for effort.

Pretty ridiculous we have to justify a win.

What killed me is had, the umpire said you tagged him before he touched it I could live with it, it was that close, the ump said he never touched the plate and I could see that he dild. LOL

The kind of day I was having it was par for the course. I should have known something was wrong when I go 3-4 to start the day and field everything hit to 3B but couldn't throw the ball. I packed it in and started drinking cause I wasn't going to help. LMAO

well im not going to be a very nice guy next time we play you guys terry so just go ahead and walk me because im not going to be cool and hit back side anymore so tell gator to just point to first.... unless you want to pitch..... but from the looks of it you look much better on the bench where you belong........ and yes i did tag nate going to third cant to see you guys on the field again......

Talk all you want about me, fact of the matter is there isn't much I can do since I had surgery on my leg except catch and AH, not everyone can be on the C List. That is why some of us have been in E for years.

I don't hit middle and talk about it nor will I get into it except most players from E tournament teams thru B can hit it and will retaliate if they feel someone is intentionally trying to hurt their pitcher. If you are just hitting the middle, that's part of the game, Gator in no way has a problem with someone trying to get a hit going up the middle, and he will be the first to tell you that. Gator fields the middle pretty well so do so at your own risk of giving up an out.

We look forward to seeing you all again too, it was a close game and we play better against good teams. Better umpiring and we have our full team next time and we'll see what happens.

I have said about all there is on this matter so bash away, that game/tournament is history, we have bigger fish to fry than to play games on a computer with discussing whether you tagged Nate or not, all that matters is the ump didn't see you (his opinion is all that matters) from his angle and nobody over by 3rd or in our dugout on the firstbase side saw you tag him.

I was coaching third and Paco saw the same thing. Don't know why you are getting an attitude with me. I am sorry one close call, whether correct call or not, has traumatized you enough to totally ruin your week as much that we are still discussing it on Wednesday after a Sunday Morning game.

What? You don't believe you belong on the C list? If not you can appeal to be taken off, I think as hard as you hit the ball and your offensive numbers justify you being on there though.
