Anyone who plays hard, and wants to win as bad as I do, every game. Especially those that know when it's time to let someone stand in, when they are not doing so hot. Typically, IMHO, these are not the best all around players, but you cannot substitute anything for team play and heart...that's a fact Jack.

Thats a real player.. seen that more than I have ever seen this year. When I had knee surgery I never heard so much complaining and players telling a coach i'll quit if you sit me.. Thats not being a team player.

I can say that I mentioned to Angel in July that we might be getting back together. If so, we would love to have him.

He told me he would not make any decision until after the world. To his credit he did not confirm anything until he got back from Orlando

I left the Renegades because I wanted to play for a team I was going to play on. I played the Utility guy the year before and it wasnt for me. I told Justin, Dustin and Donny during indoor and getting ready for the season how I felt and what I wanted. I was told that it wouldn't be an issue, I'd play. Evedently Donny had other plans of who was going to play and who was sitting and I felt I should have been playing over the guys he had starting at catcher or AH, So I asked him to release me. I hate playing on a team of favorites, thats how I felt he was making the lineup out not who was better for the team. I was straight up when I told them I'd play. I told them my situation and if this isn't the team for me then I'll play on the worst team in the league if I have to, But I want to play. I'm to young and new to the game to be sitting and watching. I can improve by playing.. It's different if a team lets you know your role on the team and you commit to them knowing that. But to commit to a team being told one thing then another happening is totally different. I am a team player, I sat myself when I was struggling and another guy was hot. I have no issues of sitting a game here and there. I just wanted to be one of the 11 majority of the time. I just didn't want to play on a team where I was the player that sits and plays when needed this year.

Butler, I don't really have a dog in this "fight" but it was put on a public message board, so heres my opinion. Everyone knows that guys talk about "possibilities" all year long. I believe that in this case, much like mine, it was made clear of the desire to play with TNO long ago. I don't exactly know what you meant by "He has been playing for you since July" ? I have a HARD time believing that Angel did't put forth his BEST effort for you EVERY game. I'm assuming he made a commitement to BC for the season, and seems to have kept his word. Would you rather him told you of his intentions (assuming he made up his mind in July like you think) in mid-season. From my personal experience, this may not be the best approach. I told my team as SOON as I made my decision. I wanted to be straight up with them and have the respect for them to hear it from ME. After I told them I NEVER played another game in Centerfield with them again. I was moved from position to position, I believe at the cost of fielding the best team we could. In my opinion from the outside in, there seems to have been no "tampering".

They can hate on the Thunder all they want but we ALWAYS had blast at the park. The parking lot. The bar. The strip club. And then some how we always made back to Wellsy's to play poker and drink more. This was our Saturday itinerary. I mean seriously I left my wife at home on my 1 year wedding anniversary on a Wednesday league night to go to the bar with Benjamin Cawood and Robert Mitchell where Mitch almost lost ANOTHER finger in a Golden Tee celebration where a lowered ceiling fan was involved. LOL. How much more fun could I have had? LOL. And still managed to stay married.

Oh sh*t and I almost forgot about the very competitive, I mean spirited ESPN scene it trivia matches. I still have anger in my heart for "The Grey squirrel" Donnie Ho calling me nothing but a NBA guy. LOL.
